a new year needs new vocabulary
I propose we compile a record of the weird, funny, useful words and phrases we encounter as we enter the last year of the decade
if WE start using them, maybe they'll enter wider usage
then, when the whole sixth form/school/town/(world?!) start using them, we can think - 'I helped start that off!'
take 'muppet shuffle'; this great-sounding phrase is in use NOW as slang in offices and companies across the country
what do YOU think it means? (clue: it's a change a company makes when things aren't going well)

muppet shuffle means to move all the 'silly' or maybe not so bright people around so that one section of a business isn't stuck with them all. or maybe even when people are made redundant because they are no longer useful to the company. megan.
